Barry Zito Schedule

Postby GSes » Sat Jul 17, 2004 3:58 am

Just thougt this was intresting when I checked, I have been saying all season long Zito has had a harder 1st half schedule then ANYONE in baseball

2 starts vs NYY &BOS
3 starts VS TEX & ANA
Starts vs STL, CHC, CIN (all three in 1st place at the time)

Anyways based on the way the current rotation would go Zito final 14 starts would go like this

@ SEA
vs SEA
@ TEX
@ MIN
VS DET
@ KC
@ TB
VS TB
@ CWS
VS BOS
VS TEX
@ SEA
@ ANA
VS SEA

4 STARTS VS SEATTLE! ;-D ;-D ;-D ;-D
He has not faced them all year

KC is an automatci win

TB, MIN, DET, CWS are good starts

TEX, ANA, BOS he has to face only three times combined, where as in the 1st half he faced the three teams a combined 8 times!

The A's schedule is set up for 2nd half success, Zito won 2nite, he is a 2nd half pitcher, his schedule looks nice.

I like his chances for a BIG 2nd half!

of course i realise the a's rotation can be mixed up and most likely will but if it stayed and he pitches every 4 days that is what he would get

KC wasn't an "automatic win" for my guy Radke tonight :~(

Two weeks worth of nickel and diming my ERA down to 3.6 undone in less than an hour :~(

You can say whatever you want but for someone as talented as him, he should have better numbers.

Well, the Chi Sox kill left handers so I wouldn't call that very easy for Zito.

Well, not ALL left handers:

LHP: 7 games, 4-1, 3 CG, 1 SHO, 2.35 ERA 0.95 WHIP .221

The White Sox do hit lefthanders well. They also hit righthanders well too.
