Varitek or Mauer?

Postby jpbusta » Fri Jul 16, 2004 10:35 pm

Opinions on who's going to have a better 2nd half? Isn't Mauer going to lose some pt due to his injuries?

I'd go with Tek also.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Varitek is a joke. He will bat at least 20 points lower than his career AVG and is heading downhill.

Not even Top 5 catchers.

Mauer all the way.

If Mauer's knee is healthy he will hit. I picked him up about two weeks ago and he's been mashing the ball! ;-D

Wow, good pickup. ;-D I cant believe he was still available in your league since he had so much hype coming into the season.

I am facing the same dilemma in my roto league. I have Varitek but just recently picked up Mauer off of the WW.
