sorry if this is in the wrong forum, didn't know where to put it
But anyways, in fantasy sports is it fair and morally right to trade a player right after you hear of him getting injured in hopes the other person doesn't know? I mean is it breaking the "fantasy etiquette code" to use your knowledge against someone else's ignorance?

IMO it is "immoral" if you propose the deal right after the guy gets hurt, hoping to take advantage of the other owner. If a player gets hurt after it is accepted (while an accepted trade is pending) however, its pretty much tough luck.
Ya, I think its fair. Not honest, but its fair. Sometimes once a player gets hurt, I offfer a trade for him. When the guy gets up int he morning he sees this guy went on the Dl. hes pissed. But he sees my offer and takes it.

usually those periods are for veteoing only and a trade should not be veteod because of an injury.... as for trading an injured player its not unfair but its not exactly a moral thing to do
I don't do it. Eh, I just woulnd;t feel compfortable. Whther or not it is fair depends entirely on the rules of your league. In mine, it says the other person HAS to be informed of an injury that sends the player on the DL.
"I'm going to meet the greatest umpire of all, and he knows I'm innocent."
Two years ago I owned Woody Williams. Late one night I found out that he would be placed on the DL the following day (and for most of the remainder of the regular season it turns out). I struck up a conversation with a fellow league owner via IM. Mind you this guy was a rookie and I felt, as defending and eventual champ, that I should teach him a lesson. I traded him Woody. Now being a sportsman, I only took The Gambler in return. There were a few spot starts that I wanted him for down the line.
Not one owner vetoed the trade. We believe that 2 grown men can come to an agreement.
Next night at the ale house he was vocally giddy about his new aquisition. He's talking like he fleeced me. Then on the ESPN Bottom Line he reads that Williams went on the DL. The look on his face was priceless!

He learned his lesson that you need to do reseach; that you need to stay on top of not only your players but other teams' as well. Well, at least if you want to win.
I do not trade away one of my injured guys just to try to rip someone off. Not my style.
