Why isn't Soriano BATTING LEADOFF for the Rangers?!

Sure, his SBs are down, but batting leadoff, his RBs would go down, as would probably his batting average...so, take what you can get and be happy with it.

For fantasy owners, this would probably help both players. For real life, it's not as good an option as Blalock 2 and Soriano 3. But it would be nice to see Soriano get some SB's for once (actually I don't own him, so maybe no SB's is better :-? )

yep, i would not want a leadoff hitter with a 330 obp and 150 K's. :-)
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
