I really really think that Victor Martinez will be the 2nd best catcher this year in baseball. This is his breakthrough year and he will continue to be a stud throughout the 2nd half. The only category he will be beaten in is most likely HR's.
What do you guys think?
EDIT: OOPS! I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IVAN! Somone slap me

Except for that Pudge guy. I still think Lopez, Posada and Piazza may be as valuable (if not more) than VMart by the end of the season.
The best lyric ever: "You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house and if you gotta glass jaw you should watch your mouth...'cause I'll break yo face."
he has to wear down ( thoi hope not since i have him on my squads). i think he will be steady in the second half, but not spectacular. i picture him hitting .290 10 hr 40 rbi 40 runs which will still put him around 20 hr, 100 rbi, 90 runs, .290 for the year.
i see pudge and piazza topping those stats but nobody else coming close with exception of lopez.
you dont trade vmart unless you have somebody like posada, lopez, pudge, maur, or piazza on your squad. he'll still be one of the top half dozen catchers in the 2nd half.

agreed.
considering that if you have v-mart you grabbed him as a FA or very late round draft pick, be happy with the ROI and gear up for a nice second half!
