Well, I've heard so many comparisons about baseball being a metaphor for life, so why not this comparison. There are 5 tools in baseball (batting avg, power, speed, throwing arm, fielding)
So what are the 5 tools in life
I say
1) Attractive- This is important. Better looking people get better jobs faster and make more money. Plus one gets better mates
2) Intelligence- This is just as important. One must be able to think on his feet or be intelligent enough to make good decision for his job and be intelligent enough to understand the concepts behind a difficult, high paying job
3)Ambition- What's intelligence/being attractive without ambition? You must want something to get it, nothing is handed to you on a platter
4) Contacts/background- Race plays a factor in college admissions. Those who have family members/friends who could contact employers are obviously at and advantage (see: George Walker Bush)
5) Charisma- Without getting along with people, how could one be successful at life? This tool is most important if one is a businessman.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
What about the old saying "Ignorance is bliss." If you are totally oblivious to what other people deem as important, then you will never be unsatisfied with yourself. I also believe the ability to love is the most important quality anyone can have.
