i am very high on Burnett, Marlins will make a run at the playoffs & Burnett has put up SCHMIDT like numbers the last month, his last several starts,
people were going back saying its the next year you are good after tommy john surjery, well screw that, this kid is back now, I would defnitley go after him

His career splits don't look too good after comparing his 1st halves and 2nd halves. 3.53 ERA and 1.25 WHIP before the ASB and 4.26 ERA and 1.37 WHIP afterwards. Although, he has pitched very well this year with only one bad game. In 7 out of 8 starts this year, he has given up 3 earned runs or less. It's a shame he only has a 1-3 record to show for it.

I wouldn't go that far. He has been solid this year but his strikeout rate is down compared to his past seasons. 203 K's in 204 innings in 2002. 21 K's in 23 innings last year. This year, only 35 K's in 45 innings. Nonetheless, still solid
