Just wondering if you guys feel the Boston players should intentionally throw the all-star game so that the Yankees won't get home field advantage in the World Series. Otherwise it seems kind of weird to "help" your rivals.
I just saw Ramirez hit that homer and couldn't help thinking all the Yankee fans say "thanks Manny."
Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

Intentionally throw the game? Come on.
That's also assuming a lot of things, like the Yankees have the best record at the end of the season and someone else in the AL doesn't.
Of course Yankee fans will say it's a lock that they will have the best record but whatever.

well, the Yanks could have the best record, but that doesn't mean they are a lock to go to the World Series.

What year will this be? Because it sure doesn't look good for them anytime soon

With Mussina in decline and Brown likely to be on the DL, I think it does look good for them this year. Unless the Yankees end up getting Randy...

dude the red sox still think they have a chance to win the division and make it to the world series...if they threw the game they'd basically be telling the yankees that they give up. and anyway, i really think its the fans that fuel this rivalry, when i watch games i see players from these opposing teams talking all the time and joking. Personally i'm a die-hard yankee fan but i really dont have anything against boston, they actually seem like really nice guys, however what i don't like are whiney red sox fans who can't take the fact that the yankees are a good group of ball players and just bitch and whine about everything

we won our last world series the day after some guy named noah started thinking of building a boat and yet we haven't given up on our team...... That being said do you REALLY think we have given up on this season already to the point of wanting to throw the all star game? NOT A CHANCE!

This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've read on this site.
