Haven't followed him much, so was wondering what the folks here had to say about Marquis Grissom. I need to know 'cuz he's part of a trade somebody offered me.

I aquired him in a trade too...I got him along with Mark Prior and Eric Chavez for Hank Blalock, Moises Alou and Brett Myers....
Yahoo has him ranked under the 100-barrier, so that means he's pretty decent. Who else is in the trade, that you've been offered?

although I fear the thread will be moved. The orginal trade was Grissom/Padilla for Hidalgo. Padilla still has about a month before returning, so I'm thinking of going after Mussina, Loaiza, or Maddux and I'll just throw in another player on my side.

he is a 4th outfielder at BEST in a 12 team league and probably wont even be worthy of a roster spot in the second half. he was solid in the first half this year but was also solid in the 1st half last year only to see his production tumble in the second half.

Padilla sounds interesting, but Hidalgo should have a great second half with these new Mets. It's pretty much a toss up....
