I was just looking at his match-ups for the next month, and it doesn't look pretty...He has match-ups against some very stong hitting teams (white sox, texas, angles...). Is there really any reason to have this guy? Besides the fact that he has great stuff and will be a star some time soon...he really only gives you K's. Any reason he will have a better second half?

I think he is a Ben Sheets player in the future sometime (maybe a couple of years). He is worth keeping around if you can in case you need an extra start or if he someone lands in a closer role.

Are you basing that off only hearing about each and reading their box scores?

Why does Duckworth even get compared to Sheets?

Anyway, Harden has better stuff than Duckworth by far, maaaybe better stuff than Sheets has.

He's worth keeping around, because he's 22 and you never know when he's going to break out. He has a great K ratio, and if they ever find a closer in Oakland, he's on a team that should get him some wins.

If you're saying he's gonna be one of the two, you have to be saying they were somewhat similar. You don't say "he will either be Barry Bonds or Ichiro". It sounded like you were picking a successful and unsuccessful pitcher who both pitched the same way as Harden.

I think that was his point. He could turn out to be successful like Sheets or lost potential like Duckworth.
