Pedro Martinez absolutely killed me last night. I'm in a h2h yahoo league. My pitching has been absolutely horrible this week!
Pedro got rocked and so did Freddy Garcia, Casey Fossum started out great but then got rocked after he had already struck out 7 in five innings. Smoltz has only had one save opp. My only SP who actually got a fairly good ERA this week is Burnett. All the others were horrible.
Pedro 20.77
Mulder 7.20
Garcia 7.20
Fossum 9.64
Kim 6.0
Beckett 3.60 (which is still halfway ok!)
This has got to get better otherwise I'm gonna lose everything!

I know what you mean GM my main problem is wins. On one of my teams Matt Mantei and Scott Stewart (who's no longer on the team) have more wins then my starting pitchers.
Randy Johnson, Roy Halladay, Kerry Wood & Wade Miller.

you know whats funny? look at all the 1st round pick "aces" that have got bombed early on... and to think, i was getting chastised all over the place for drafting prior in the third round in two drafts.
but yeah, its still april and the odds are that with the extra time off due to the rainouts, pedro's arm was a little too strong and he was overthrowing the ball. it's not exactly one of those situations where you wonder if pedro will stink it up so bad that you'll have to beg someone to trade karim garcia for him in june.

At least you didn't start Ryan Dempster... 22.05 ERA yesterday, all from one inning. Grrrr... That lost me the WHIP category.
Hey Coach - if your pitcher walks 3 batters in one inning, it's time to take him out!!! (but no, the coach leaves him in and watches him give up 2 more hits and 2 more walks... 9 runs attibuted to Dempster).
