The stretch run

Postby AtP » Mon Jul 12, 2004 8:28 pm

Currently in 1st Place in an AL only 5x5 roto league. 10 teams competing. I had a lot of injuries early but my hitters are all back now. Have a 13.5 point lead. Can I hold it with this lineup.

C: Damian Miller (Have Olivo and Inge both on IR, will keep one of them)
1B: Carlos DelGado
2B: Alfonso Soriano
3B: Hank Blalock
SS: David Eckstein
MI: Nomar Garciappar
CI: Bill Mueller
OF: Lew Ford
OF: Torri Hunter
OF: Carl Crawford
OF: Jose Cruz Jr.
OF: Alexis Rios
UT: Laynce Nix

SP: Barry Zito
SP: CC Sabbathia
SP: Erik Bedard
SP: Ricardo Rodriguez
SP: Nate Robertson
RP: Johan Santana
RP: Ryan Drese
RP: David Riske
RP: Jason Frasor
P: Ugueth Urbina

I am currently winning the SB and Runs category and in the top three in all hitting. My pitchign has steadily gotten better after a disastrous opening two months. I am in the middle of the pack in all pitching categories except K's and I am top three there. Can this team keep it's current pace. Who will shine and who will falter?

im more of a head 2 man, but like u said your hitting is really goos, your fine there, You could use another good starter, I think Zito will be able to carry your staff down the stretch, but 1 more arm couldnt hurt

I do have Santana who qualifies at RP and Sabbathia..and I also have Rafael Soriano on the DL. I only have a few bucks under our salary cap to move right now and most of that will be used up dropping either Rodriguez or Drese to bring Soriano back.
