Bay: Keeper potential??

I'm considering making a run at Jason Bay, and using Lance Berkman to get me a package of players that include probably Bay and maybe Cliff Lee.

It's a twenty team league and I get five keepers. I'm already basically playing for next year (last place..ouch). I made a good deal last week, getting Gagne and Washburn for Ichiro and Griffey (just in time, huh?). So if the season ended right now, my keepers would be Wood, Zambrano, Gagne, M. Cabrera, and probably Berkman. (Konerko being the dark horse). So am I ok trading Berkman for Bay and Lee? (and if all goes according to plan, keeping Bay)?

Factoring in my decision is the fact that the Pirates are my favorite team and the Astros one of my least faves. Thus I seek an objective opinion. thanks for the help.

Bay has yet to show that he can stay healthy enough to realize his full potential IMO, so I would perhaps consider trying to get another young OF stud.

Makes no sense to me. Why would you even consider keeping Bay instead of Berkman? Ludicrous idea.

If he played everyday and avoided injury, I'd expect better #s in the 2nd half. The guy could flat out mash..........but I wouldn't deal him for Berkman unless it was a dynasty league........and you'd have to get more than cliff lee to go with it.

Bay and Lee just isn't enough in return for Berkman.

That being said, both of those two players have huge upsides. If I was predicting dominate starters two years from now, Cliff Lee would be in my top six or seven...
