In draft
Pods over Crawford
B Boone over M Young
Delgado over Manny/Sheffield
Prior as #6 pick
Smoltz in #3 round

I could've traded for Abreu early in the season for Izzy and some other scrub, I was too ancy about giving up my #2 closer, IM AN IDIOT!

I drafted Austin Kearns and Nick Johnson and haven't gotten much from Kearns and little from Johnson in that pitiful Montreal lineup.

I drafted Edwin Jackson. He got sent to the minors (on the bright side, I picked up Carl Pavano in place of Jackson).
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

I dropped Ben Sheets after one game because he left the game after 5 innings because of a MINOR injury (he got the win and pitched well).

Sounds familiar. I was one of THREE owners to drop David Ortiz in one league (I had Sexson....what did I need with Ortiz).

Also dropped Sheets when it came down to him or Penny.....as a result of maybe the only bad decision that I try to partially share blame with the Cafe for:

8-0 vote for Penny was good enough for me.

I always thought it was bad mojo to solicit advice here and then blame the community (even in part) when it bottoms out.

And believe me, I can sympathize. I fell for the Matt Riley hype and pushed the button. I don't blame anyone for that but me.

I rejected a trade in late May:

I give:
-Chavez

I get:
-Helton
-Beltre

This one stings! At the time, Chavez was HOT and Helton was said to be injured..so was Beltre. I asked the cafe for advice and 90% said I should keep Chavez.

Lieberthal was in a huge slump and my pitching was doing great, and still is. So...

I traded Vasquez for C.Wilson and Makowiak :-o

I am still in first place (5 x 5) but I wish I could take it back :~(

I didn't even read all of these and I know I have the worst of them all. #1 priority in NL-only league and failed to pick up Mr. Carlos Beltran. !+)

Dropped Kolb when he was hurt. :,-(

Dropped H. Matsui because I was too impatient. :,-(

This is my first year and I've learned my lessons the hard way.
