Cabrera to the Cubs?

Itll hurt Vido in the fact that Gonzalez is worse then Cabrera and will not help Vidros RBI chances anymore then Cabrera. If they resign Clement after this year I think they can afford to trade on of their arms in the minors. I think I would deal Mitre and Gonzalez, because do the expos really expect a top prospect for what Cabera has done this year?

Vidro's value won't take a hit at all. First, he hits before Cabrera most of the time so it won't affect his RBI numbers. His Runs won't go down either since OC only has 23 RBI. Plus, Gonzalez won't put up worse numbers than Cabrera's .237 with 23 RBI.

cabrera would look nice in the two hole for the cubs, that is, if he's a ~.280 hitter

cuz last year was prolly his best year, where he was, i believe, ~.280/15/60/25... so if you can plug him in there and let c-pat/sosa protect him, it could be good. his D is pretty good too.

if they re-sign him, that'd be really nice for the cubs. what i wonder is why the expos would want alex gonzalez for him.

i wonder if they're going to shoot for whatshisface, angel guzman, in the deal. i think hes the cubs #1 SP prospect.
