We were up by 7 games at the break last year and 15 games back this year. Man things sure looked promising after Beltran's homer on opening day. Yikes. :-P

I still think that 16-3 start a year ago was a very bad thing for the club. They just were not that good, and it gave both the team and us as fans a false sense of hope. Instead of trying to make major improvements to the team to start this year, Baird sat back and expected things to go as smoothly as they did in 2003. The Royals stayed the same while everyone else in the division got better.

there is still lots of time to improve this season. i believe the marlins were like 12-14 games back at this time last year and look what happened to them ;-D

just wishful thinking...but that is about all there is to do here in KC :-°
