Is anybody else other than me watching this guy closely? I searched him on here and there wasn't a single post mentioning him.

I don't think he'll be great by any means, but he's been doing well in AA (although he is 25) and plays C on a team without a good starting catcher. Last year in AA he had a 971 OPS and in AAA he had a 1016 OPS. This season, he's been showing signs of power (although like I said, as an older AA player) hitting 19 2B's and 17 HR's in 76 games. He also has a 53/62 BB:K ratio.

He's been called up by the Marlins, and although he's played C in the minors he played LF for the MLB team. Does anybody else think he might get a shot at being their C for next season? Possibly this season? Is he a legit candidate to be a productive fantasy starter, or was he just successful based on his age in the leagues he was in?

McKeon had this to say:

"I'm trying to find the ideal position for him ... He plays a little first, plays a little third, outfield, catches. We've got to find out while he's here ... A lot of guys, they swing the bat you find a spot for them; I like the way he swings the bat."

i could be wrong but i think it is more of the age factor than his ability shining out above...he is still a decent player, but i dont expect anything major out of him.....
