Seeing the word "Sidelined" is scary next to his name. There not sure if he'll miss any time in the All -Star game. Any other news?
He must have hurt it in practice today. I doubt it was hurting him yesterday with his 2 homer performance yesterday.

It probably has hurt him all year. He didn't want to run so he figured if all he did was hit HR's and ground ruled doubles he wouldn't have to worry about any running.
In all seriousness though, I don't know anything about Manny's sidelining. Sorry I couldn't help ya.

NESN says he's planning on playing in the All-Star game but we'll see how long that holds up.

It seems he went to Francona before the game and told him he couldn't play, even though he was only scheduled to DH. He didn't seem fatigued at all during his only plate appearance.

He
can play in the All-Star game, but he's unavailable to play in a regular season game for a team that is embroiled in one of the most contested playoff races in recent memory?
Hmmm...okay Manny.

Manny never likes playing in the all-star game. This will give him the excuse to either not go or to show up, have one at bat where he'll wave weakly at three pitches then get subbed out.
And I like Manny, but this is what that might be about. Don't worry about his health.
