Will the Braves make any deadline trades?

I'm pretty sure the Braves will make one or two deadline deals.

Who do you think will leave and who will join the Braves?

I guess the Maggs/Andruw talk is over....

I don't see them doing anything significant this year, although I wish they would. I still think they'll take the pennant again this year. Looking at the NL East standings, the most encouraging part for me is the Braves' intra-division record of 25-14. That is the most wins by any team over division foes and I think it bodes well for their near future. The Phillies, by contrast, have a 17-22 divisional record. Not to mention the return of Marcus Giles will almost be like a deadline deal.

True...getting Marcus Giles back will be great, but what do we do with Nick Green. And what about Dewayne Wise? Will Bobby leave Thomas in Atlanta and send down Wise? Who will go to the pen? Wright, Thomson, Hampton or maybe even Byrd, when Horacio comes back. Maybe they'll move him to the pen....They should trade away Wright, while his value is high and get some decent prospects in return....

That seems to suggest that the braves are after Delgado (makes sense with the lack of a REAL 1B). Besides that, Im not sure...and Im sure that the trade would have to involve someone like Byrd or Hampton for the salaries to work out under the Braves strict budget guidlines...or a 3rd team would have to get involved.

I doubt they'll go after Delgado, since Adam LaRoche seems to be heating up....BJ Ryan I could very well imagine....

And it turned out to be Tom Martin. Not bad. They definitely could use him. Of course, who knows what deals could still go down...
