i read the post on kent and giles but on my team i have loretta and giles.. who will have a better second half?

As long as he plays like he did before he was hurt, I'd say Giles.

When Giles isn't running into people he has become a top 3 option at 2b. However, the nonrecklessness approach of Loretta and his steadiness have been a great comodity as well but his upward mobility to improve and get better isn't what Giles' is. I would say for now, stick with Loretta until Giles shows that he is what he was before his injury and switch him out when you see Giles being what he is. Remember, he came off an injury where I'm sure he wasn't able to swing a bat so his timing will be off for a little while.
