Obviously because of injuries he's not the pitcher who threw 5 complete game shutouts in 2002, but he's had 6 good outings out of 8 starts and only has one win to show for it? How would you guys rate him with the other pitchers in the league? I see him as a good pitcher, but he's not getting any help from his team.

When Pierre and Castillo return to their old forms. Burnett is one of the best pitchers in the league, talent-wise. He is a strikeout machine. Remember that season he had with 7 complete games and 5 shutouts? He finished with a 12-9 record because of lack of run support.

Burnett's still struggling with control. He's either real good or real bad so far. Use him at your own risk.... hows that for a fantasy advise.

Piss poor. His currently sporting a WHIP of 1.18. He has had some bad games but overall he's been fantastic. Much better than most of us imagined coming back from TJ surgey. Burnett is a must start now against just about anyone.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Yes, its a fantastic trade if you need saves. No one knows if Pedro will land some DL time or get some rest in the second half if bosox is going to be in the playoffs...

My thoughts exactly, thanks! And yeah, it's definitely a sell-high time for Pedro IMO.
