Jason Larue, he's a little brittle but has some pure power when he's on.

yep, Hammock right now is losing time cos of his right knee which still has problems. he will get most of it back if he gets healthy hes so much better than Brito that he'll get most of the playing time. at least thats what it seems to me.. anyways, the sweet thing about Hammock is that he can play both in the infield and outfield, which is something the D'backs are considering for the time being to keep him healthy. therefore he will find a way to get play time if healthy but his health is the thing that we gotta watch out for right now but he definitely will imo get healthy and start hitting down the line this year but he might not be a quick fix.
[size=10]Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)

Yeah, forgot that he still qualifies as a catcher....He's definatley a decent pickup. He's really been hitting the ball well for about a month now....If you can get him, he's worth a look....

in kinda the same vein as Larue... Brian Schnieder hes started hitting a lil but Larue is kinda still slightly better. only touch if you're not real tight in BA.

I honestly don't believe there are any sleeper catchers currently out there. It's a thin position, and the good ones get snatched up in a hurry. While you may be able to score in April or even early May, not in mid-July.

Best I can come up with would be Brandon Inge, who is presently injured but has had a nice year. Maybe Jason Phillips gets it turned around, as he's at least better than he's shown first half.

I agree. I have Pudge, and would like to find a non-tiger back up for him so I can utilize 162 games at Catcher for Roto league. I had Phillips, then Lecroy, and looked at Schneider. When is R. Hernandez going to be playing again?
