The Houston Chronicle says most baseball insiders believe Astros' manager Jim Williams will be fired by Wednesday.
It's probably overdue. From where we sit, the Astros' issues aren't with personnel or uncontrollable circumstances or even trades that have yet to work out in their favor, but more from Williams' archaic ways. Potential replacements include Double-A Round Rock manager Jackie Moore, third base coach Gene Lamont, and Mets hitting coach Don Baylor. Source: Houston Chronicle
I own Ensberg in a keeper league. It's about time, when, when..
This is great news. I'm sick of Jimy. I am. With the awful platooning, lineups, overuse of the bullpen, dumbass decision, and the lack of fire in the astros clubhouse we're long overdue. Dierker got us 5 pennants in 6 years. Jimy didn't even give us one in three years. Good Riddance.

He didnt get you any pennants. Winning the pennants means you represent the NL or AL in the World Series. The Astros have yet to win a playoff series. Dierker got you division championships, not pennants. Sad to see Jimy gone, he was running the 'Stros into the ground
I can't wait for a new manager to come in and bench Ensberg Everybody thinks Jimy ruined his fantasy value when really he was only keeping it afloat; Lamb is better and might get the full time job. Oh man that'd be funny...............
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
