Will Randy Johnson be traded NOW?

Postby JamesBond007 » Sat Jul 10, 2004 1:12 am

From Rotoworld:

Randy Johnson - S - ARZ Buy Diamondbacks Tickets

Randy Johnson got into a dispute with Luis Gonzalez at the conclusion of his outing against the Giants tonight.
It's unclear if punches were exchanged, but something interesting happened when Johnson and Gonzalez got together in the tunnel as Johnson was en route to the clubhouse. Gonzalez committed an error that led to three unearned runs in the fifth inning and resulted in a short outing for Johnson (6 R, 3 ER in 5 IP).

That I would have liked to see. The 7-foot Unit in a fight. Wonder if Gonzo blew out his elbow even more throwing a punch.

funny if Randy took a huge left handed swing at Gonzo and he ducked and drilled him in the face with an uppercut....watching the Unit do a Ric Flair--take 2 steps and fall face first.

Or they each take massive swings, each duck, and each suffer season-ending injuries- Gonzo to his elbow and Unit his throwing shoulder.

not much more, but this popped up right after the Johnson/Gonzo incident:

If a man dwells on the past, then he robs the present.
But if a man ignores the past, he may rob the future.
The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past.

Johnson and Gonzo started arguing on the bench. Then Johnson took off into the tunnel and Gonzo followed him, and then like half of the team dashed into the tunnel after them. It'll be interesting to read the local articles tomorrow morning.

It appears Johnson is starting to push the right buttons for that one-way ticket.

So how do you think he'll look in pinstripes?

Johnson's wife wants him to go to the BoSox so she can hang out with Schilling's wife again. Guess we will see who wears the pants in the family. :-b
