Any thoughts on Jason Worth

Everytime I see his name in the box score he seems to be doing good things. What type of hitter is he? Was he good in the minors? Is he getting regular playing time?

I assume you mena Jason Werth from LA. He came over from the Blue Jays. LA got him Blue Jays got Frasor their closer now. He's decent but not worth picking up. I pretty sure he only plays part time. Play against leftys. Then Dave Roberts plays against rightys.

With Jaun E. going on the DL, Werth is sure to see increased playing time. He has been platooning with Roberts and so far he has made the most of his opportunity while in LA .. His minor league numbers aren't all that impressive and he hadn't shown much power until recently so thats been a nice surprise. Looks like might be able to swipe a few bags though.

I had read a Bio on him not to long ago, I'll see if I can't find it ..

I am actually playing him in a very deep (16tm NL only H2H) league in lieu of Austin Kearns, and he has not been a huge disspointment.

hope this helps

Will Drew be replaced with Kearns in terms of being the butt of your jokes for next season? ;-)

He's a career .265 minor league hitter, with average power, and a bit of speed. Nothing to get excited over, especially since he plays in LA. The Jays had to dump him because he ran out of options, but hey it turned out good and now we have a closer B-)

On a side note, during the only two World Series clinching HR's (Mazeroski and Carter), he had an uncle on the winning team. Both uncle's names were Dick Schofield (Sr. and Jr.)
