All-Star Break

Postby eftda » Fri Jul 09, 2004 7:41 pm

The All-Star break is great. There is a HR derby, A futures game, a All-Star game and the all the celebs softball we want :-) BUt Should it be longer? If the break was a week long, think of how much rest players would get, and if it was really a wekk long break then players could go to the game and visit their friends and family. Also it would give pitchers who pitched in the All-Star game time to rest and players time to heal. Would any of you like to see the All-Star Break extended?

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

i, as well as just about everyone in here, agrees with you. i almost wish they did it like the pro-bowl after the season but then it would suck like the pro bowl too, so this is a decent compromise.

I wouldn't mind seeing it extended another day or two. Maybe not a whole week but say Monday was a day off, Tuesday HR Derby, Wednesday All-Star Game, Thursday day off, and games could resume Friday and Saturday. I wouldn't mind that too much.
