"Very quietly, Randy Johnson has told the Arizona Diamondbacks that he would waive his no-trade clause in order to pitch out his final years for a contender, most preferably the Yankees"

;-D ;-D ;-D

"And apparently, it is becoming a similar case with another 40-year-old future Hall of Famer - Roger Clemens "

Right, because the NY Daily News or the Post are fair, upstanding publications and aren't tabloid-ish in the least :-t

I've also heard Shonda Schilling is planning to sit right next to Mrs. Johnson at the AS game to try and get her to convince RJ to come to Boston.

All depends which side you're on to believe which side of the story.

I'll kill someone if Clemens goes back to the Yankees.

If Clemens goes back to the Yankees...which is HIGHLY doubtfult that he goes anywhere....he would prove to be the biggest hypocrite in the game. He trashed the Yankees for not re-signing his buddy Petitte and what's he going to do? Turn his back on his "best friend" to go back to NY? I'm sure that'd sit really well with his good buddy.

From Rotoworld:

Randy Johnson - S - Diamondbacks Buy Diamondbacks Tickets

If Angels' starter Bartolo Colon continues to struggle, Anaheim would join the list of teams interested in acquiring Randy Johnson.
The Diamondbacks would no doubt want one of Jeff Mathis, Casey Kotchman or Dallas McPherson in return, along with disgruntled pitcher Ramon Ortiz and/or reliever Scott Shields. Johnson may be a nice fit for the Angels as he owns a home in Southern California and has a good relationship with Angels' owner Arte Moreno. Jul. 9 - 8:21 am et

So that narrows it down to 3 teams that have the best chance IMO. Frankly, I don't really care from a fantasy perspective where he goes, any of them would boost his value tremendously.

He already isn't the greatest (being modest) looking guy...just imagine him in pinstripes :-P

well to be fair, it's not like the NESN broadcasters are any better! (referring to the ridiculous statements from Weds game)

What statements? I don't get NESN and this is the first I've heard of it. Is it about the supposed closed-door meeting with RJ and Garagiola? Other than that I'm stumped.

as a yankee fan i really hope clemens doesnt come back. i never liked that guy and view the day wells, bush, and lloyd were traded for him as a very dark day in yankee history.
