Anybody think this guy can be of great value down the stretch? hes been pitching very well recently and was touted as being as talented as vazquez. Plus, he could get traded to a contender which would up his value even more. Your thoughts?

He's walking a lot of batters, allowing tons of runs, and has the worst offense in baseball (KC is making a stand to take over though).
If he's traded to a new team with a good offense and good pitching coach, he could be great. I don't think he's going to be worth much this year though..............

You have to be careful b/c pitchers in Montreal are easily over extended.
With that in mind and the Expos minimalistic approach to run scoring I think he could be a good spot starter.

I personally like Armas alot. I think he has great stuff but I just hope he can get back to full strength. He's not pitching deep into games but he had his best game yet last night. Given, his two horrible starts hurt both my team and his numbers, but I think he will put up pretty decent numbers for the rest of the year. Especially if you spot start him right. And unlike Livan, I think he may actually be traded to a contender.

yeah, that 7 IP performance was very encouraging; he will improve as the season progresses and his arm strength comes back. i still remember the great start he got off to last season, going 2-0 before being shut down and wouldn't count out a very nice 2nd half from him this year.
