Javy Vazquez replaces Hudson on the All-Star team. Both Pedro and Vazquez have 9 wins but Vaz has 5 losses while Pedro has 3. Vaz has Pedro in ERA but only slightly while Pedro has more K's.
Yes, since Torre's the manager he can choose who he wants but come on, you can't possibly tell me Pedro's history with Torre and the Yankees didn't have any influence on Torre's decision.
i'd like to point out that javy has also walked fewer batters.
besides... I'd take Westbrook over Pedro anyway.

Attention all Redsox fans: not everyone is conspiring against you
This is like Pedro claiming racism a few years back, when Zito won the Cy Young over him. That year his era was awesome, but he had something like 5 less wins and 75 less IP than Zito did. Maybe Pedro should have won, but you could have made an argument for either guy. Same with Javy this year. You could easily make a case for either pitcher. Maybe Pedro should have been there, but you can’t say it’s bias when the decision is this close.
