News
Marlins pitcher Josh Beckett visited Dr. Robert Kirsner on Wednesday to examine the blister on the middle finger of his right hand. Kirsner is a wound-care specialist at the University of Miami. The Miami Herald reports that Kirsner supplied Beckett with two topical ointments to treat the torn skin. Beckett is currently on the 15-day disabled list for the third time this season, with two of the instances being related to blisters.

Josh has now been on the disabled list five times in the past three seasons due to finger blisters, and the team has tried numerous different remedies to no avail. We can only assume that these ointments are different that the salves he's applied in the past, and hopefully he'll be able to return when his 15 days are up.
Well, nice to hear that he's getting many opinions on the crap, but here's my opinion on those damn blisters.
JUST PISS ON YOUR DAMN HANDS, JOSH. TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM. IF NOT FOR THE MARLINS, THEN FOR MY TEAMS!!!

I'm a tournament bowler. Everyone who bowls long-format tournaments gets blisters or cuts at EVERY event. We just use superglue to patch it up. Works like a charm, and it doesn't hurt as badly as it sounds. Someone needs to suggest this to Beckett.

thats against the rules. foreign substances are not allowed as they may affect the pitch. i believe zach day got a small suspension last year for using super glue on a blister.

A great idea, but considering beckett's already gone through puberity, he's too old for R Kelly. I'm sure Tom Green or Andy Dick would be glad to partake.
