as far as the bermuda triangle goes, i saw a special on tv, maybe it was the discovery channel, that showed how the phenomenon was tied, in their view anyway, to methane and natural gas eruptions on the ocean floor... one of the largest untapped areas of natural gas and methane is along the eastern shoreline of america running from the carolinas down to southern florida... add to this the fact that most of the ocean floor is basically porous sediment which is conducive to slides and shifting which helps the gas to release... one guy actually took a 20 foot ski boat, placed it above a grid of pvc piping in which he drilled holes in and pumped air into and viola.. the boat sank....
so much for aliens and sea monsters...
