They found the boat out drifting at sea, and everyone on board was dead. EXCEPT for one. And that person never spoke another coherent thing for the rest of his life.
Here's something though, did you know that the ocean is so deep in places that we haven't reached the bottom yet due to a lack of technology? Could something be living down there? *Insert Twilight Zone music now*.
Actually, I had that exactly same thought before.
However miniscually slim the chances are, it is impossible to prove with 100% certainty that there isn't some fish-man civilization down in the deepest parts of the ocean.
It's true though.
"I'm going to meet the greatest umpire of all, and he knows I'm innocent."
Here's the post the night the show aired on Discovery Channel last month - they did a really thorough job of disproving the conspiracy theories about the fake moon landings. One of the best lines came at the end when one of the scientists said "Don't you think that if we really didn't go there that the Soviets would have gone out of their way to prove we were lying seeing as we had beat them".

Fishman civilization with mermaids and stuff? I hadn't really thought about that.
I was thinking more on the lines of a prehistoric animal, or a species of whale or shark that we haven't seen yet.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Haha yes, well that is far more likely, however my point is that the options are limitless. No one really knows for sure what is down that deep.

The ocean is vast and hold many secrets...a fishman civilization at 30,000 feet below the surface ....no! Here are a few real ones.
A ceolecanthe (sp) prehistoric fish was caught off the coast of madagascar that was thought to be extinct for millions of years.
A carcass of what appeared to be a plessiosaur (sp) was caught in fishing nets by japanese fishermen.
Has anyone seen the supposed footage of the underwater city off the coast of japan? I remember a few years ago on Art Bell that there was some city lying at like 5,000 feet underwater off the coast of cuba and that "any day now" they would be releasing the shocking discovery....yawn....still waiting.
