I think these were the two most deserving off the top of my head.

Abreau is definitely deserving. I'm surprized that he didn't make it in on the initial voting.

Thomas or Konerko were both more deserving than Hideki.

Good point I forget about them. Who was the ChiSox representative since those 2 didn't make it?

I thought so at first too but after looking at the numbers it's a toss up IMHO.

Matsui .282 HR 16 RBI 54 R 57
Thomas .271 HR 18 RBI 49 R 53
Konerko .281 HR 21 RBI 55 R 39

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I wouldn't call that a tossup, considering that Konerko and Thomas have better numbers.

And how about these numbes:

OBP, SLG, OPS
Thomas .434 .563 .997
Matsui .382 .498 .880
Konerko .372 .552 .924
