is there a good reason why Posada has so few AB's? What's the reason for him not playing as much as the next catcher? If their is another thread on this, let me know. If not, let me know. Injury? slump?

he's a catcher, he gets fewer at bats than other position players he was hurt for a while and the yankees have the luxury of a potent office in which they can rest the players that play the mos strenuous positions.

i know catchers get fewer at bats. just seems like he's taking more day offs, then behind the plate. I would at least like to see him as DH!

torre likes flaherty to work with contreras and halsey... though i'm not sure he'd bench posada 2 days in a row with jose pitching tomorrow. think of it this way- at least jorge will more than likely remain more rested than the other catchers for the remainder of the season.

at least he got a pinch hit today.. =P
