I started both of them in my weekly points league because they both pitch twice this week.
This was their combined line last night:
9 2/3 IP, 14 H, 10 ER, 6 BB, 7 K, 2 Losses (that works out to 2 points total)
...and here's the kicker...
Run Support: zero... zilch... nada... nothing... bubkus...
[ranttoGod]Is it not enough that I played the two undefeated teams over the last two weeks!? Must you also punish me with terrible pitching when I'm playing the bottom of the conference, too!?[/ranttoGod]
He pitched pretty darn well against the Angels last week, and he pitched pretty well against my Cardinals. I figured he was stepping up for the tough teams, and playing down against the lesser teams. Oops...

You're playing with fire starting Zito vs. Boston. Zito can't afford to leave that curve ball hanging against anybody in that lineup. Zito has had a problem with location, and that's when the game starting to look like tee ball. I'm an A's fan, I wish you could start him every game.
I knew he was a risk, but my cardinal rule is to always start a pitcher that's pitching twice in a week. It's just too good of an opportunity in a weekly format.
I've never missed the playoffs - ever. I went 23-1 two years ago and won the league championship. I'm one game out of first place at the moment, and I will make the playoffs again this year.
I also hold the league records for most points in a year, in a week, and the longest winning streak.
H2H, that's a differnet game in itself. I do leagues with Rotisserie, we just see things different. I have the best the WHIP and ERA in my league because I pick my starts, but you are just trying to beat a guy in your league. If your strategy works, then rock it. Zito Vs. Boston, I'll make a side bet with you the next time this happens..............
I'll take you up on that bet, but the circumstances probably won't happen again for a long time. I mean, what are the odds that both a) Zito will pitch twice in one week, and b) pitch against the Red Sox?
By the way, Zito is scheduled to pitch against Cleveland later this week. It's not exactly like their offense if bad, either, you know? I could be in for a long week.
