I will rank them in the order of which I would draft them for a keeper league starting today:
Tejada (2nd round)
Nomar (2nd-3rd round)
Jeter (5th round)
Renteria (5th-6th round)
Young (7th-8th round)
Last year's Renteria would be ahead of Jeter no question. I know about his back, but i have to see some numbers before he gets the nod over Jeter, given how hot Jeter has been lately.
If Nomar hadn't sat out the beginning of this season, he would have had a chance to be ranked higher than Tejada, BUT Tejada has been awesome, and we all know he's generally better in the second half. Preseason this year, I ranked Nomar above Tejada, but I thankfully never had the misfortune of having him fall to me in any draft, which is actually a bit of a stroke of luck, considering I would have used an early second round pick on him.
Young isn't as good as the others. Good first half, that's it. He had a "solid" year last year, but nothing that warranted comparison to the others on this list, until this year. he still sits at the back of the line.
