News: Phil Nevin will undergo surgery on his right knee Monday morning and be sidelined for two to six weeks, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. "Likely it's in the range of three to four weeks," Padres general manager Kevin Towers said after getting the preliminary results of an MRI exam conducted Sunday. Nevin suffered torn cartilage in the knee after running out a single during Sunday's game, and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list on Monday.
