Phil Nevin left Sunday's game in the fourth inning with a right knee injury. The Padres said that he has a possible cartilage tear. He was to be examined Sunday night.
:-o :-o

This could really hurt the Padres hopes for a playoff run! :-o
I would say thats hes out for 2-3 months :,-(

FoxSports.com says he can miss a minimum of 2 weeks if he has surgery.

depends on how torn it is, if its a slight tear then maybe 3 weeks, if its an avg tear then 4-6 weeks and if its a complete tear then were are talking months :-o

How much does this affect Giles? Does he have any real protection in that lineup now? :,-(

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Yeah. I own him in two leagues. Just traded him for Sosa in one league and now I'm contemplating trying to get rid of him in the other. :-P

I didn't trade Nevin for Sosa. I was referring to Brian Giles who was part of a deal for Sosa. Geez.
