He's got better power numbers than normal. The only thing down is his average and I don't expect it to stay at .260 for much longer. He's way too good for that. I expect him to have numbers similar to:
.280-28-100
which is damn good when your playing in KC. He's a solid contributor as long as he stays healthy.

I'm very concerned about his productivity now that Beltran's gone. Would it be a mistake to drop Sweeney for Brad Wilkerson? I never thought it'd come to this, but I'm considering doing it...

Wilkerson's .230 average is really troubling. Compensates with contributions in other categories, but that BA...I'd rather have Sweeney.

hes worth having but make sure that you have a backup plan or somethin. the Royals are out of it and theyd have no motivation to play him even when hes not fully injured.
with that being said, i also thing that he has to bring up BA... the thing that worries me is that hes not walking despite the very flimsy protection. his AB's are kinda on the shorter side. i also think that hes trying to hit for power this year. i think he'll get better with his back. not WW material in a 12 team league. especially with the fall 1B has taken this year.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

he is on pace for 27 HR's and 102 rbi's....not too shabby

I think his avg will come back, but maybe not over .300 like we all thought he would

i traded him in late april for huff because sweeney's always an injury risk. he's put up pretty good numbers, but the injury makes me happy because it validates my move.
does that make me a bad person?

Well he has missed maybe 7 games so far, hardly a huge issue...a 90 day trip to the DL would validate your move not nicks and bumps....I would say you got screwed in that deal.
