according to the site that is yahoo... he IS atop the depth chart.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Basically, there are no everday OF's in Texas. Dellucci, Young, Matthews, Mench, Conti. Nix will be input into this mix when he returns. Showalter is a believer in platooning, and it's sure hard to argue with the results. He's clearly the Manager of the Year in the AL to this point.
Mench gets a good share of the starts, but it's also important to note that reports out of Texas indicate he's not on the best of terms with Showalter and that his name has been mentioned in trade talks. So maybe he'll end up someplace where he plays everyday until his next injury.

Thank you. He is swinging a very hot bat right now, I dont see how Buck can keep him out of the line up.
Mench is still recovering from a rib cage injury. That is why he has not played every game. He is supposed to be an everyday OF for them but the injury and the strained relationship with Buck has him sitting way too much. On one hand, I hope he gets traded so he will play everyday, but, on the other hand, I would hate to see him leave that park and that lineup!! Buck can't possibly sit him anymore. He is EN FUEGO!!

Off that topic, I agree with thehat.
Yeah, from what I gather, he has the largest hat size in all of baseball. Not sure if this is players-only, as I have a hard time believing anyone can top Bruce Bochy. His head is so big his ears are in different zip codes.
