he sucks b/c he does his offseason workouts with sidney ponson, which consist of hotdog eating contests (low rep, heavy weight) and couch sitting endurance tests.

Bartolo Colon gave up seven runs and three homers tonight in a second straight awful start against the Dodgers.
Colon's velocity is OK right now, but his fastball has no movement and he's not locating it well. Maybe the light will go on at some point, but these last two starts have been very discouraging. Bench him for next week's outing against the White Sox. Jul. 4 - 1:02 am et

its like he is saying here is my fastball, hit this.
'
Rototimes says he's probable against Toronto, not Chicago. I do weekly starts so I penciled him in against the Wells and Delgado-less Jays.
I've always trusted the 'Times. Anyone know for sure?

hes gotta change his speed.. i agree, learning to throw something other than a fatsball would help.
get it?

Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Agreed. He's got the fastball, thats about it. He tries to compensate for the lack of a 2nd pitch by changing speeds on his fastball. He throws them from 91-97 variably. His fastball is so good that alone got him where he is now. He is gonna have to get some varieties out there soon, but you dont really want him to throw something else especially if they hang 50% of the time.
Some say its a location issue... he doesnt get enough calls and forced to center his fastballs, etc... who knows? but he's about as worthless as jose contreras right now from a fantasy perspective.
