Dare I bring up the Giles vs. Nevin thread now? 2 homers in Nevin's first two at-bats tonight. I'm sure glad I held onto him. Nevin has to be one of the most underrated players in FB. Nobody ever talks about him but....
.296 - 14 HRs - 53 RBIs
is a very impressive statline for a guy who I have barely heard one word about on these boards.

agreed.
i picked him up last year in july and stashed him on the dl, and i was very pleased with the numbers he put up when he came back. i was struggling with injuries, and he filled in nicely for a mid-season pickup, and helped me win.
i drafted him fairly low this year, and i haven't been disappointed.

Some guy the other day described him as a "throw-in" in a trade the other day, and that had me laughing pretty hard. Very glad I have him right now.

Giles is still a better ballplayer.
Just wait til Nevin dives to catch a foul ball

They intentionally walk him in his 3rd AB...

He's a righty.

I read somewhere that Nevin was complaining about how balls were dying out there. I immediately made the connection that it was due to the air or whatever, along with the dimensions that aren't kind to lefties.
I actually think he has better power to the opposite field so you have a decent point. Can't complain about his numbers thus far though.
