Well he is Richard Hidalgo, there's no middle ground.

i think he'll continue to be streaky, still valueable if you start him during his tears.

I agree. This is what I was going to write, but you beat me to it. He'll have his streaks, both hot and cold...if you have room on you bench, he'd be a nice player to start when he's hot. ;-D

Yep a new Mets record. Incredible that a guy whose been with the team for like three weeks breaks a team record. 8-o

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

i think he'll be fine as long as the 3,4 guys stay healthy. obviously not this crazy good tho.. his ceiling at Shea will be lower than it was when he was with the Royals or even the Astros for that matter.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
