Who needs Austin prissy pants Kearns when you have Bay. I dont know why the manager was benching him 4 days a week untill recently...I knew he would be good but this is rediculous considering he can also swipe a 15 + bases

Two weeks ago, I was looking at Bay, but didn't pull the trigger and took Juan Pierre instead (looking for some steals). Ugh. Pierre has hit .189 for me and 0 steals! He stinks. Bay is still out there, but we do waiver moves every two weeks and our next one isn't until the All-Star Break. Plus, he'd have to get past 11 teams to get to me, so I missed out, I'm sure.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

:-B I dropped Kearns for Bay last week, apparently one step ahead of the stampeding horde.

He was playing part-time largely to ease him back after the long stretch on the DL; also because McClendon never seems sure what to do with his logjam of OF. I think it's safe to say Bay has played his way into the skipper's good graces (see Wilson, Craig).

I think I'll keep Hidalgo and Bautista and leave Bay on the wire for the moment.

Gotta go with Bay. Bay was at least predicted to be a good player...Newhan is pulling stuff out of his you know what and I see him cooling down pretty soon.

Would you drop Patterson or Gerut for Bay? Keep in mind I am not starting either currently and probably wouldnt start Bay due to my OF being Vlad, Giles, and Drew and Overbay in my Util. Also I am trying to stay semi competive in steals. I am in 1st ( ;-D )
