At the risk of being mocked by perlick... JASON BAY!!!

If for some odd reason (and that reason would have to be very odd indeed) Jason Bay happens to be on the waiver wire in your league, I HIGHLY recommend adding him. In game two of tonight's double dip, he is 3/4 with a HR and 6 RBIs. ESPN lists him at 85.8 percent owned currently, and that number figures to be rising fast, but for those of you in Yahoo public leagues, unless you already have an OF of Beltran, Vlad, and Manny or something sick like that, this guy is a very solid pick up. He has a career batting average of around .290 and a career OBP of around .380 and is a legit threat for 15/10 the rest of the way out.

I've been using Bay in my deeper leagues for the past 2-3 weeks, and he's been more than just a solid outfielder.

(and perlick, as for the thread's title, I'm just kidding around, but you'd be justified in saying that Bay ought to be owned in any league worth it's salt.)

I recently posted about Bay in another forum. He's filled in very nicely for me ever since Wells went down. Made it that much easier to trade Dunn ...

Didn't he have a game like this last year too, with 8 rbi or something vs the cubs?

Yeah, I picked him up on the WW. Fit in nicely, too bad I had him sitting on the bench. :~(

dang it. i usually start players who have doubleheaders to make up positions where i'm behind the max. i thought about starting him, but decided i didn't really need to make up the outfield games that badly.
