Struggling team that I think has potential... PLEASE HELP

Please help this pathetically performing team. My pitching has me in the top 3 in every category except Saves. But my offense is abysmal. I'm last in HR & OPS, second to last in AVG, and in the bottom third in R, RBI, & SB. Please help me because I thought this would be a contending team. Granted I've made a lot of changes trying to resuscitate the team, but everything I touch seems to turn to crap! I'll be happy to help you too. Thanks

Package some of your estra offensive players for a power hitting OF, that way you can carry a few more pitchers to get you saves, and other cats where your lacking. Or you could move Pujols to the OF and find a decent option for first base, although Sweeny isn't too bad.

I traded D. Young, J. Dye, and J. Mauer and got Ivan Rodriguez yesterday. Do you think this was a good deal for me? The way I saw it was that I was already in 2nd to last in the league and pathetic offensively so I couldn't really hurt myself by getting I-Rod.
