Not this year. I believe that we wont get a former all star that batted .357 in 1999 and .372 in 2000 if we traded him. ANd because I think that, I also think they will not make the playoffs if they trade him. Think about how nasty our infield would be: Mueller @ 3rd, Pokey @ Short, Bellhorn @2nd, Millar @1st. Yea....nasty

of course, not in the middle of the season. but in the offseason, its kinda inevitable im afraid. hes gonna demand a huge contract, which Theo wont give him. more importantly he doesnt wanna stay that much after the A-Rod incident. :-/

... hope he leaves with a WS ring. :-D

I think if we can get value for him then he should be traded he will obviously leave at the end of the season because the sox wont give him the contract that he wants

ya im worried two that if we do trade him look at our infield. Who is left that hits. Its bascially gonna be Ortiz asDH and manny. Sure Tek and trot can pull through sometimes but they just aren't as consitant.

And i do think trading nomar would be a mistake so far this year. We have schilling pedro and wakfield for theplayoffs.

Personally i would like to see Lowe go somewhere. He just doesn't pitch like he could be and i think the pressure might be starting to get to him. Plus arroyo has been great from what i have seen him pitch. He will rarly give up more then 3 runs in any game and has even managed to shut out some of the bigger hitting teams.

Without Nomar we don't win a championship...plain and simple. By trading him, we are basically giving up on the season. There's no way we get equal value for him in a trade. The RJ for Nomar trade is ridiculous, and would never get done.

the truth is that we can't take the unit's contract at all with the FA's coming up next year... plus next year youd have a lot of oldies on the staff which is not a very safe thing no matter how good they are...

... Dee Lowe's sinker still bites his blister's giving him less trouble than it was earlier in the season and they've "located" a "minor mechanical flaw" in his deliveries and theyre working on it.. he just needs to get his head stright... i still think he can turn it around somewhat. ;-D
