LA gets - Nomar and Mendoza
Sox get- Delgado,Izturis

This trade makes even less sense than the rumored trade. LA wouldn't move Mota when they had a chance to get Beltran. Why would they move him for Nomar? Mota costs LA almost nothing and is dominant. In today's game you don't move a contract like that unless you are getting gangbusters in return. Odalis is involved in the rumors because LA has tried to move him before. I don't know how credible any of these rumors are though.

IN regards to what would happen with Millar and Ortiz. Millar would be the odd man out, he can't hit, he can't field, he's been absolutely awful this year. Delgado would be full tim 1b and Ortiz would be full time DH... no way they trade the guy that they just signed for cheap, the fans love, has 21 homers, and leads the American league in RBI's

Thinking about it, isn't Delgado on the DL meaning he can't be traded until he comes back? But also thinking about it that could be why Nomar didn't even PH yesterday in the all important game with the Yankees...

Alot of crap could be going down that we have no idea about. But one thing is that Delgado will not help our defense out one bit with his iron glove at first.

One thing that I find very interesting is the fact that Delgado was supposed to return to the line-up yesterday, but for some reason didn't, and at the same time, Nomar was being sat for unknown reasons... hmm.

I was thinking the same thing. The Delgado sitting came out of nowhere, all indications were he was definitely playing in Puerto Rico.

boston doesn't want to play ortiz at 1b because of his knees. they want him on the dh. millar is aweful at 1b and is only worth playing in the outfield.
Boston needs a big defensive player at 1b and delgado is the man. I say pull the trigger on the trade if its real. also that will give boston a solid number 4 or 5 pitcher. I would love to see perez in boston.
For nomar i've been saying it for years since i first saw him in pawtucket. he has a good bat but his defense is downright horrible. he tries to much to be an acrobat with his spinny spin throws he attempts all the time.
If nomar is gone i wonder who is going to play ss?? any ideas?
