Do you think he is worth more in trade, than on your roster? He isn't stealing much, and hasn't shown a TON of power like we had hoped....therefore, do you think (if you own him) that you can use his power/speed potential to upgrade in another area significantly? e.g. Soriano for Abreu, or a 2 for 1 type deal. In other words, do you think its best to deal Soriano now, while he still has that 1st round mentality in alot of people's minds...?
From the weakest position in fantasy ball? From a player who hasn't even gotten hot yet? I'd take him all day long.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
his o-fer's seem to stick out in people's minds (mine included), because I honestly have to say I was a bit surprised when madison posted his numbers and they were much more impressive then I thought.
I own him and wouldn't think of moving him. In fact I've been trying like crazy to land him in my other (especially keeper) leagues. From the shallowest position in fantasy and being in the Texas lineup he is much more valuable than Abreu or players at other positions IMO.

We (I include myself probably most) may have hyped him too much coming in, but I think he can still turn it around, after all he's getting used to a new role for a new team, and once he settles in I think we will see big things from him.
I went through this same question myself last week and decided he was worth more in a trade. I gave up Soriano,Giambi for Prior,Boone,M.Cabrera. I felt Giambi was basically a scrub and I had plenty of 1B backups to fill his void.. I've been using them most of the season anyway. So I felt I was getting everything in this deal for Soriano.. who like everyone has said hasn't quite put up the numbers we all had hoped for as of yet. I'd say depending on what you can get, you gotta consider his value. For me the upgrade in pitching and 3B- had Koskie - made this deal good for me. Plus Boones' numbers 2nd half over the past 3 years are very good. He bats almost .300 in July,.310 Aug, .330 in Sept. Those are the averages for the past 3 yrs. So for me it was BYE BYE Soriano! I do still think he's the best 2B out there but if you need depth, like I did, I think using someone like him is a great way to go.
