He'll start hitting soon, but the .300-.310 average is probably where he'll end up at the end of the season.
Speaking of the two, here's something I posted on the Game Commentary, Cheering, and Venting Board.
If Jimy had a brain, he'd know to sandwich Berkman and Beltran with either Bagwell or Kent. Neither Bags nor Kent have hit well against lefties this year, but both are historically better against left handed pitchers. Thus, teams can't bring their lefty specialists in to take down Beltran-Berkman 3-4 anymore. Though Beltran did get the homer today (and against Marte on Opening Day), he's still worse against lefties and it will hurt in the long run.
